The problem would be that the computer box dont send signal to activate . This is normally coupled with the fuel pump not going on. There is a way to override this fault. unclip the fusebox, on the top you will find a row of brown relays, the correct relay will be the 2nd from the right, and the main pin should be shorted out with the pin that operates power to these functions. The alternative would be to have the computer box repaired or replaced. I have been driving mine for years like this though
I have Ford bantam the fuel pump is not geting power
Depends which model Bantam. Does it have the Rocam engine from 2002 onwards, or 2007 onwards or is it the earlier one with the Mazda B6 EFI Engine. If its the Rocam Engine check the Power Hold relay, one of the small brown relays. If its the Computer Box (PCM) problem, check the LED by the clock, what is the LED doing , does it come on for a few seconds and go out when the ignition is switched on ? If it does this, its OK. If you in plug and remove the PCM, look at the PCM plug terminals. Are they coroded. This could also be the problem. When it is Power to the injectors, Remember that the injectors get ignition power (about 12 Volts) and they are earthed through the PCM in Mili- Secs depending on the TPS and load.
I have a Ford bantam rocam 1,6 I put a new start it's still no starting but we I kickstart it's start.what could be a problem?
Re route the starter selonoid wire which is in the same channel as the crank angle sensor. As you crank the engine using the key, high voltage is induced into the crank angle sensor wiring from the starter selonoid wire, which will prevent the correct signal going to the computer box. Re-route the selonoid wire away and out of the CKP sensor channeling.
We were driving over a hump when the bakkie just died we checked everything and the petrol doesnt come through what could be the problem because it doesnt want to start now
Press the Impact switch button IN. It will click into place.

I have a Mazda rustler b6 .the car has problem at starting in the morning. You have to crank it for several time before it starts then immediately when it starts if you switch it off and on again it will start but if you leave it for an hour then you have to crank again for a couple of seconds then it will start or I have to push it then it starts. Have replaced the fuel pump but its still doing the same. Can some one please kindly assist.
Have you replaced the fuel filter ? check the fuel pressure regulater. Check for fault codes in the EFI system. To clear the fault codes, Switch the ignition to accesories, Remove the ROOM light fuse and apply the brake peddle for about 20 seconds to clear the fault codes and refit the ROOM light fuse.

My 2007 Ford Bantam 1.6 Rocam runs rich, every 2 weeks the spark plugs will get so fouled with carbon deposits that the car will refuse to start. Once the plugs have been cleaned, it starts right up. What could the problem? Does this vehicle have an airflow meter and where is it's location?
Hi I have a 2008 bantam rocam. Stoped got out and got in again. Now it doesn't want to crank if I gou a few times its like it wants to if I press the starter relay it cranks but the injector is not pulsing. Please help
This is a Euro 2 System with an Oxygen Sensor. It has the smaller ECU that clips into place on the Left side on the A Pillar under the dash area , above the Fuel cut off switch. Start off by pressing the Fuel cut off switch red button. Check the Starter selonoid cable. It runs in the same channel as the Crank angle sensor cable. Remove the Selonoid cable from this channel. Normally the higher voltage from this selonoid cable induces a higher voltage into the Crank Angle Sensor cable. This could be a Key reader problem or the ECU problem as well. Check the Fuses and relays. Phone / Whatsapp me : 0820606425
Check also the Flash codes from the Immobilizer warning light. Does this Light stay ON, or does it not come on at all or Does it fash very quickly ? PATS Warning light flash codes When you switch the ignition to the ON position the Light next to the clock (Immobilizer Warning light) comes ON and then goes OFF. This shows that the system is OK If the Light flashed quickly and then switches OFF and starts flashing a "1" or a "2" and switches OFF and the starts to flash um a "1" to "6" , or say 1 3 or 86 If this light does not come on at all or stays on with the ignition on, there is a problem in the PCM / ECU All the fuses and Relays must be check first.
Halo i got a ford bantam 1.6 got no spark please help
Hi Leon, If it cranks and there is no spark, Check the starter relay. If the Starter relay has been "bridged out" or there is a short circuit in this relay, you wont get spark. Check also if the starter selonoid cable is running in the same channel as the crank angle sensor wiring. you might have to remove this cable out side the cranck angle sensor woiring channel.
