I purchased a head gasket kit from Moss and it comes with 8 rubber o-rings. I assume they are to install on valve stems. However the y are to small to be held by the spring retainer. How are they held

What holds these o-rings up on valve? I have the other rubber oil restrictors
that are held in place by valve spring retainer cap.
