If the security light is on, why would you think the engine would start? You need to contact a dealer or maybe a locksmith to get out of this.

And don't waste your time on the magical relearn procedures that everyone talks about. They don't work in 99% of situations, including yours. You need to be towed to your local GM Dealer for repairs. Those procedures are to be used as part of specific repairs to the security system and the average person doesn't have the computer programs to do them! Jim

If the security system is active and you have the correct keys then it is time for the professionals to step in. Now if you have a really good locksmith in your area they might be able cut new keys with new chips and reprogram the security system to recognize the new chips. The dealer will do the same thing but at a much higher price.
