Opel kadett 200is 1996

Asked by just3026 Jul 19, 2012 at 08:47 AM about the Opel Kadett

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Kadett wont start. I have rebuilt cylinder
head, put new spark plugs, ht leads,
distrubutor, coil and also put a new fuel
relay switch. There is compression in all
cylinders, timing is spot on, there is a good
blue spark on plugs and there is fuel,
however seems like its too much fuel as it
seems to be flooding. I have been working
on it for over a month, last week she came
to life like nothing was wrong, we ran her
for around an hour on and off, so she
started cold and hot and ran smoothly. Half
an hour later she wouldnt run and hasnt run
since then and the mehanic says that it
should run and they have been here for a
week scratching there heads. Help

Does the engine have Carburetor or Injection? If Carburetor check float level. If Injection check air flow regulator. Greetings Ulf

Hi. Hmm, you say, like its too much fuel as it seems to be flooding. Check/replace fuel regulator and also camshaft chain and timing. /ulf
