Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1.I drove my 2005 ford escape to dealer driving 60mph told them I hear a whistle, they charged me $1,900. and fixed exhaust manifold. 2.when I picked it up I could hear another air leak front driver side now max speed is 50mph and light ABS and 4x4 are on, they replaced front driver tone ring. 3.when I picked it up this time I still hear air front right and my top speed now is 30mph. 3 weeks at dealer and they don't know why my max speed now is 30mph I went on test drive with the mechanic and he said sounds like transmission. I find it hard to believe, I had speed before they did the work on manifold, what could this be and how do I get them to fix it? can I do harm driving it home every time I go to pick it up and hearing the air leak...30 min drive?

Tom, You was right!!! the dealer called today and it's the catalytic convertor, they first told me transmission. I already gave 1,900.00 for the exhaust manifold now they want 500. for the catalytic converter. what makes me mad is they keep bring it back saying its fixed. thank you sooo much you nailed it...smile!
