whining noise while under acceleration, what could it be?

Hi, my Hyundai Sante Fe makes quite a loud whining noise under acceleration.
The noise is most noticeable over 2k revs. When car is in park or neutral the
sound is not present when revving the engine??

Check the condition and tension of your serpentine belt that drives tour alternator, PS, water pump, and AC.
