Car idle up to high because it raned hot

My 1983 Oldsmobile ran hot it has the original 307
motor it so I cooled it of and when I started it back
up it was idle up way to high and wouldn't idle back
down....any suggestions on what I should do????

The carb may need readjusting. Take the air cleaner off and see if it is stuck up on the fast idle cam, the choke may be open some. Might have to do with the electric choke spring.
