How do I get to the Fuel Pump in my 1981 Oldsmobile 98 5.0 V8

Asked by BadBrad1271 Jan 07, 2016 at 03:16 PM about the 1981 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car has 99,000 miles on it. It has been sitting awhile with hardly any
gas in the tank when I bought it.
The engine turns but never catches, so my first thought was the fuel filter,
which I replaced.  When that didn't work, I began to think that the fuel pump
was bad (due to sediment in the bottom of the tank clogging it up), so I
looked for it.  I found it to the lower left of the water pump.
So, that being said, how do I remove it?
