is it Klunkin', like from the bottom end...meaning the main bearings are gone? or just the gravy train? pullin' a dozen bolts and gettin' the ole' rawhide mallet out for the first time in a long time to "bunk" the heads free...then we can carefully examine the condition of the cylinder walls....the sparkplug and the remains of the headgasket~.....in short YES, take the heads off...worst that can happen is you'll learn how this all goes together~
