left front caliper wont release

I vote for new brake hoses, even if that is not the problem, the car is almost 30 years old and brake hoses are pretty cheap.

    The left front wheel started making grinding noise with occasional bangs, then the ABS and Traction Off lights came on at which time the noises stopped. The ABS and Traction lights remain off.
