What carb would work as a replacement

Asked by Guru99MVD6 Oct 19, 2020 at 10:35 PM about the 1973 Cadillac DeVille

Question type: General

What carburetor would be a good replacement for
my 4bbl q-jet carb. I have a 472cid big block in my
1973 sedan DeVille. The choke is non functioning
and I want a different carburetor that’s comparable
to what’s on it now, that has an electric choke.

I am pretty sure you can replace just the choke. A Q-Jet is a good carb so I would stick with it.

I would like to replace the choke and choke rod but the divorced choke that’s on my car is unfortunately unique to this particular car. I can find all styles of divorced chokes just not this style. I’ll upload a photo sometime after work. Alternatively which Edlebrock carb would be recommended?

Thank you all for your help it is greatly appreciated. Here’s the photo of the choke that’s on my Cadillac. If anyone knows where one is available I would be willing to drive to go and get it. Thank you.

Thank you . I was kind of leaning that way but thought I would try anyway. Again I would like to thank everyone for helping me out I really do appreciate it.
