Question type: Maintenance & Repair

any leads will be greatly appreciated.i was driving down the road, was running great, and then a total shut off, no sputter,no chug,it was like turning the key off.will not restart, i can not hear the fuel pump hum when the key is turned on.does not give any indication of wanting to start.battery and alternator new  last year..i noticed something odd when tring to start it,the gas gauge was registering better than half tank with key on and as soon as i started cranking it went to empty.i just put gas in it yesterday..help!

thanks, i swapped out the fuel pump relay and a fuse, no luck with that. i guess i need to pull bonnet off and see if its getting spark and loosen the fuel filter to see if its pumping gas..hope its not that fuel pump

sounds like it is time for a fuel pump, pull the doghouse off and check for fuel pressure at the service port!
