2008 Chevy Suburban Speakers

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For awhile now our burbans speakers (more like base) works when it wants to. Sometimes I will turn my car on and the music will sound fine, but when I come back from running an errand, the base is once again not working. One time I had started my car and it wasn't working again, but a few seconds after making a real sharp turn, the base came back on. I'm by no means knowledgeable in cars, but it seems like a wire maybe loose or something simple to fix rather then replacing the whole thing (as I've been told by a few places $$$) Anyone else gone through this and found a solution? Thanks in advance!

There may be many points of electrical disconnections by you can track them gradually. Take out the central console tray (between front seats) and you will find below two electrical connectors. The smaaler one is what you have to inspect. Reconnect after disconnecting. You can trace the wire forward for speaker. You might have remove the console entirely for complete inspection if this does not fix.
