Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed that my air conditioning is not as cool as it usually is and need to know
why.  Is there a gauge that displays on the panel when the coolant is low?
What makes the air conditioner air turn warm?

Low freon or low radiator coolant. There's a thermal switch on the compressor, if it's low on coolant, (radiator fluid) will get a little hot and turn the compressor off, until engine cools down.

Well, guess what....I got in my car today and it was cooling just fine and the displayed icon that looked like a digital low gas icon had disappeared. Would you still say that the coolant is causing the switch to react this way?
