coolant light came on

make sure the coolant is topped off, scan for codes even if the light ain't on and get the definitions , don't listen to someone who sells parts for what to buy to fix the problem

Thats normal, you have 2 buttons to the right of the steering wheel you can use those to switch through multiple readings for your car ie. Mileage, coolant temp, outside temp and trip mileage set.
