We have a 2008 Chevy cobalt. Never had problems with the transmission. I was driving and slowed down to turn the corner, headed up the hill. The car stopped going forward. Started rolling back. Now we can only go in reverse. Would this be the transmission?

That sounds like the transmission is faulty but check the transmission fluid level. Have you ever had the transmission serviced?

We checked fluid and no we have not. I don't understand because it did not make a noise or jerk, nothing. Just quit going forward.
