Why is my 2008 Chevy cobalt using so much gas?

Asked by Becca0810 May 15, 2019 at 11:37 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I fill my car up an can only go 60 miles before its off of full
an by the time im at a half of a tank ive only went 100
miles. Ive gave it a tune up an I had a gas leak but had it
replaced... What could be causing it to use so much fuel?

1 Answer

How much gas is it using? Gauge readings could simply be a bad fuel gauge. Calculate your fuel mileage and see if its really as bad as you think before you start trying to fix things.
