My 2008 Altima won't always start.

Asked by JeudeMJ Dec 23, 2013 at 08:51 PM about the 2008 Nissan Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Everything seems to work, but the engine doesn't turn over.  The dealer says they can't troubleshoot it because whenever they have it, it starts.  The battery is new and jump-starting it doesn't work.

Your Nissan dealer is full of crap. The dealer has full access to anything that has ever happened to your car. Every error code, every fart in the driver seat. Jumping pretty much always works to start a car with a weak battery. But it doesn't work if you have a weak or dirty battery connection. I think this is what might be going on. If you don't know how to fix this, I suggest you don't use the dealer (for anything not necessary) but try a local garage. If I am right this should be a five minute fix.
