Check Engine Light Comes on and sometimes blinks on 2001 Discovery SE

I purchased this yesterday. It has 143000 miles and runs/drives good.Check engine lite comes on and sometimes blinks. I had someone look up codes and it said 3 and 5 were misfiring. He said that meant spark plugs. I was told they were just replaced with bosch platinum in August
plz help

take the plug out of that cylinder that is misfiring and swap with a plug that is not misfiring . may be bad plug or wires
