Engine reduce

I went to a dealership and buy a 2008 Malibu for
4900 I really don't recall the my right now but as
soon as I drove from the dealership to the house it
stopped 4 times and it says engine reduced and
scare the heck out of me do you think the
dealership will give me back my down payment
that I put for the car I don't want to do nothing with
that car but I want to know what the engine
reduced means

Call the dealership and talk to them about it. Did you test drive the vehicle before you bought it? Maybe the dealer will fix, free of charge?
