Rough idle

Asked by Oct 28, 2017 at 01:33 PM about the 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While running at an idle the truck runs at around
200-400 Rpm and acts like it wants to die. It had
died twice in a week now. I checked the spark
plugs and there is oil around #7. I sprayed carb
cleaner in the intake and it ran better for a few
hours then started acting up again. Does this
sound like a faulty pcv valve or something else.

it sounds to me like you may have an intake leak some where in the system.

What do you mean by an intake leak. How do I check that.
