Service stab sys , traction failure , reduced power

hey buddies ! my H3 2007, I have the following problem 5 months ago: in morning or after a long time stopping (more than 7 to 8 hours), it so, when I start the engine, it is stopped with the message on dash: service stab system, tracation failed, reduced power. so, I try starting engine after less than a minute, with pressing on the race roughly. stopping again, and trying again, all this for 15 to 20 minutes, then it works. this happens especially during the cold period here in gulf. pls. advise.

cleaned the mass air sensor and that took care of it.

Looking through the manual I noticed you can actually turn the Stability System off by it's button just above radio by pressing it for 5 seconds. Wondering if this will at least stop the reduced power while driving. I may try it if I ever have the problem again. Give me the good old days when stability systems were not included and you did not have to dismantle part of the car to get to a front signal light.

Did you ever figure it out?

My 2007 H3 saying “traction failed” stalling up like it’s the transmission to the point of motioning you forward when coasting down a hill with no foot on gas or brake! “Service STAB System” and sometimes “Low power mode” sounds like a tractor! Mass Air fix the problem you think? Have had it to dealerships off and in for recalls but usually can figure things like this out in my own....

I just turned the engine off for 15min then started the engine on worked okay

I replaced half my engine until I finally replaced the pedal position sensor by replacing the whole pedal assembly, for $61 from Amazon "ACDelco 25955673 GM Original Equipment Accelerator Pedal with Module and Position Sensor". This finally fixed my nightmare of being stuck randomly for 20-30 minutes at a time.

I have a 2009 chevy colorado z71 with a 3.7 engine and a couple years back, on a road trip the "reduced power" lights/words came on and my truck wouldn't go more than 35 miles an hour. So what the problem ended being was the TPS or Throttle Position Sensor that's located on the throttle body. There had been a recall on it back in 2015 so the sensor was replaced free of charge. Now if your truck has a P0171 code, it could be either the gas cap doesn't work any more (that's a 30 dollar fix) and the truck senses a loss of pressure, it could be one of your O2 sensors is bad (thats a 60 dollar fix), or maybe your MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor is bad ($40 dollar fix). All these things you can do them your self and won't take you a long time to do, maybe 10-20 mins at the most for each thing.

I have issue with H3 2009 3.7 L after clean the throttle body show in the cluster the check engine and power engine reduced - stability fault traction and is present this code P0223 and can´t erase the code with my basic scaner I did review the wiring and is ok the symptom with this issue is the transmision is working but the first and second speed pull a some hard and the anothers speeds go fine and after in high speed I feeling the H3 fine. please can help me with this issue

I had this issue. It turned out to be the catalytic converter. Once I replaced that, the engine felt like it was brand new again. I found a stainless steel version on eBay.
