Cruise control sets and works until I put the
car into 5th gear then shuts off.  All fluids
are good and brake lights work fine.  Can't
find a fuse that says cruise control.    Il

You say you put it into 5th gear so this must be a standard trany. If you have the cruse set in 4th gear the cruse will turn off when shifting into 5th gear and not work until you set it again.
