Just got ruining but isn't staying running, not sure on rebuild I just bought car

Tom is right, the carbs need to rebuilt along with the engine. Don't cheap out, the engine will run like a dream on rebuilt and synchronized carbs. Get rid of all traces of the old gas, it will quickly plug the jets on the carbs and you'll be back to where you started. Also change the fuel filter.
