2005 car alarm

Asked by GuruVTC7F Aug 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

My battery died on my 05 silverado.  I changed out
the battery and now when I hit the brake to put it in
gear it activates the alarm. The key fob it's been
pretty much inoperable for years. I know I've run
into this before, but I can't remember how to make
it stop. Also don't know, but I think it's a factory
alarm. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I actually pieced the fob back together. So if anyone else runs into this and cant do that...go to a different site. Never got an answer here
