Cost to replace timing chain

Your Chevy Aveo has a timing belt (not a timing chain) according to the following website (you could be looking at a repair cost upwards of $1,500 for replacing the belt and to repair damage caused when the belt broke): http://www.underhoodservice.com/Article/39722/chevy_aveo_timing_belt_service.aspx

Had dealer replace the timing belt, tensioner, gasket and pulley on my 2009 Chevy aveo LT. Total cost for parts and labor was $677. The parts were $352.
