Have unusual '73 Grand Am 455 with gold arrowheads. Story is, Indy Pace car for that year. Can find no one who has ever seen the gold emblems, or a GA quite like this one. Info?

Question type: General

(Story may be just that, but something is special about this car.)

Story debunked. 1973's pace car was an El Dorado. Question remains about the mysterious gold arrowheads, though. I do know the car belonged to a woman who used to be a race car driver and who worked many years for and was pretty high up the food chain with Pontiac. The other real question, other than the significance of the gold emblems, is how many 1973 Grand Am coupes were sold with the 455? I found general production numbers of 34,000+ for that year, but no specifics about the engines. I’m brand new at this and would appreciate any information you can offer. I’m hitting a void here.
