I have a 1986 nissan 720 pickup I just bought. At first it would start but not stay running. I replaced the fuel pump. Now it won't run and there is fuel shooting out the top of the carburetor and it won't run. A friend suggested we fill a hose with fuel and disconnect fuel pump and allow the fuel to be gravity fed and it ran fine So my question could the new fuel pump be too strong? Is there a regulator I can put between the pump and the carb??.
