To eliminate heat to the car's cabin, you could just leave the heat off. If you want to eliminate the heat unit/box to get rid of weight and space, you can eliminate the exchanger boxes themselves. Do you remember the old days of catalytic converters when you could buy a "test tube" to replace the converters. They just bolted on in place of the converters. I recall someone used to make tubes like that for VWs, that bolted into the space of the heat exchange box. You could just then remove all the air piping to the cabin.

Thanks A Lot Ed, Yes Indeed, I Do Remember The Old Days! With Your Information, I Can Now See What I'm Up Against. My Bug Is A Baja Bug, And With The Engine Exposed, I'd Like To Have A Cleaner Look. I Think I'll Just Have To Save Some Dough For A New Muffler... Thanks!!!

It looks like your body is a relatively stock, closed back, so you could just go to an off-road shop and they can direct you to premade headers for that car. Or go to custom headers. You might find that leaving the heat system in the car will be of an advantage to you, and when you sell the car.
