How does it run? the 4.0s will last last forever, I would say clean it up a bit, make it run solid, lift it and take her wheeling man

i would say lift it an wheel it, my buddy has a 96 grand cherokee with 280k that he put a 5 inch lift on

If the engine has good compression, it would be worth putting some time and parts into it. I would replace bushings, ball joints, universal joints in the drive train, and if the clutch is bad, go ahead and upgrade to a centerforce or equivalent. Replace any seals that leak, then after you figure out what you have left in the budget, then you could look for upgrades.

drive it , you can put a ton of $$$$$ in it still the end would be the same.
