Brights? Does the 88 have bright lights?

I can't figure out if my new to me jeep cherokee 1988 has brights that can be turned on separately.
Anyone?

If you pull the turn signal stalk back towards you and the high beams dont come on, then you have a problem. Are you reffereing to the Wagoneer with the 4 headlights???
