where is the ignition control modular located

need to replace but i can not locate the old part

Follow the spark plug wires back to it. Up here in Canada these units get moved (off-raoding thing). So it might not be were the factory put it, So I always tell people to follow the spark plug wires. Hope this helps, best of luck.

The distributor cap on this engine, if it is a 4.0L inline 6, should be located on the passenger side of the engine block. You will see it near the oil filter. The ignition module is located underneath the distributor cap, while the ignition coil is mounted typically on the engine block on the same side about 6-9" away. The center spark plug wire will lead to the coil. The module can be found by removing the distributor cap, there is a wiring harness that plugs into it.

Would that stop it from starting after it get warm and you stop it will not start
