Yes, you need to set the 4-wheel drive to 4-Neutral, which will unlock all four wheels and basically make the vehicle roll as it is disconnected from the trans. at this point.

Yes, you can, but since the Patriot is a low car, make sure when you attach it to the motor home, the bumper is far away from the ground...if it isn't and you drive on, your bumper will be damaged, And Chrysler, LLC. charges a lot for bumper repairs

thats nothin compared to what ive seen. ive seen an escalade being pulled a greyhound size rv. youll need a frame mounted towbar.
