not sure if it just needs a tune up and need to know the correct set of plugs and wires etc anyway. But the van is
just drinking gas. My spouse is not a lead foot but claims he can barely get one mile to the gallon. Wow!

is there a lot of black smoke from the tail pipe? are you sure there are no leaks in the fuel lines or tank? 1989 dodge is throttle body fuel injection, a very simple system.

cold start sensor,check for trouble codes!also check fuel pressure regulator,this small devicr is on the fuel inlet line. Good Luck!
