Question type: Maintenance & Repair

replacing the water pump, timing belt and silent shaft but I can't figure how to get the silent shaft on because the pulley on the crank shaft has to come off so I can slip the belt on.

I did the same job and had the same question. My friend told me of a method that works great. Get a long 1/2" drive breaker bar.put it on the bolt then bump the ignition. Works like a charm..
