window weather stripping is shot, can a newb do it himself? or should it go to a bodyshop guy? also, do you use the synthetic lead additive? I guess you can't get the real stuff anymore, at least by me.

i know in new york state you can actually still get leaded gasoline, however its about 6 dollars a gallon not that you prolly drive the car so much that youd notice the cost, but the synthetic lead is just as good as the old stuff. and weather stripping shouldnt be that hard but then again i cant see whats involved on your particular car

thanks Dan, i've gotten mixed messages on the lead. I'll try the new additive. The weather stripping is around the door jams to seal the door in place and inside the door where the window sits and goes up and down. I'll attach the only pic i have of the door. it probably won't help much, i took these for ins, not for this.

sounds pretty easy then, id just get some weather strip adhesive from your local parts store and then see what you can do, if you dont think it looks good after find a local body shop that wont charge an arm and a leg
