01 Jetta 2.0 misfiring after ECU replacement

Asked by Damon Mar 29, 2019 at 04:53 PM about the 2001 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My O2 sensor had frayed wires and shorted out my ECU. I
replaced them both and the car ran decent for a half hour
test drive. The next morning I fired her up and it has been
misfiring horribly ever since. The dash blinks like it's
Christmas. Any ideas what could've happened?

I changedmy thermostat and then my car stop running if it won't it won't run no more won't even cut on its cranking but it won't start so what will be the problem for that on a 2008 PT cruiser 2.4
