2002 VW EuroVan back window 'sealed' shut. I think the rubber has gone bad and made the slidiing glass window stuck. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Put baby oil on seal both inside and out,let set for a hour or so.rubber should soften so window will release,if seal is bad you can find a replacement or make your own out of other seals in the junkyard,or some one may have new seals on ebay.
