rough start 2003 jetta

My Jetta runs great during unchanging weather. When the humidity goes up it's very difficult to start, then runs extremely rough, turning on the A/C makes it stall. Starting it when the humidity goes up makes it act as if it is starved for either fuel or air.when it happens . l  There is a distinct  smell of gas when it happens. I get a MAP sensor code along with several misfires on all 4.
