I found one for sale locally with only 32K miles, and 3 previous owners. Why would this car have had so many owners and so few miles?

It does seem a bit low on mileage after 3 owners...However, for many people, the Z is a 2nd car..used on weekends, some evenings and is grounded for the winter season. I actually had a 2005 350Z that I leased. It was a 2nd car (I had a company car that gas and maintenance was paid for...AND I could use it for personal use, not just business travel). Soooo after a 4 year lease, my Z only had 15k miles on it when I turned her back in to the Nissan Dealer. It's definitely possible that these 3 owners used it as a 2nd car and not a daily driver as well.

@wlogan...That might be very difficult to do, since CarFax doesn't list the names/addresses of previous owners. You'll also find that the Car Dealer is not willing to supply that information due to privacy reasons (I tried once and the Dealer declined). If you get lucky and find a repair/service record for an oil change or something else in the glove box, THAT will provide the info. though.
