Car got hot the engine top was taken out for skimming but it can't start. What must we do now

The car got hot it mixed up and was towed
home..we took out the engine top for skimming but
it can't start, what is it that we didn't do right

Have you done a compression check after the work? If it got too hot there could be damage to the block(blue color in the cylinder bore) or the rings could have lost the tempering so low or no compression. Recheck the cam/crank timing to make sure your spot on. Other things could be security systems fully activated, blown fuses, disconnected grounds or power supply’s to sensors and injection system.
