Take the door apart and become familiar with the insides of that thing- no better way to see what a cheap piece of junk your car is-

I'm no expert, but I have the same problem and am fixing it as we speak. Here are tge steps I followed for my 2002 x type 3.0 1: remove door panel by removing three screws (one in the center under a cap. Two on the bottom of the door panel.) and gently forcing the door panel off (start at top back end and work your way around). 2: inspect. Towards the back of the door, behind the foam insulation, there is a hollow that is great for inspecting the back half of the window. You can remove the radio to inspect the front half by undoing an electrical clip and 3 screws. 3: replacement. There's a high chance of something being broken as it's mostly plastic parts. You'll have to locate and identify the broken part that supports your window and replace it. I hope this is helpful. The broken part on my car is just one of the clamps that holds the window to the wire pulley system on the back half. So if you can hear the window rattling when you try rolling it up, chances are that you have the same problem. I am pointing at the broken part on my passenger door.
