Steering wheel squeaks

My steering wheel squeaks as I drive. I asked for power steering fluid at the auto parts
store and they gave me transmission fluid. Is that correct?

Hell no...you need power steering fluid. Will stop the squeaks immediately!!

Mine squeeks but I have full power steering liquid what could it be?
