Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Yukon XL needs a new or used
transmission put into it. My dilemma is if I put it
in, something else will break. It has over 270,000
miles on it and has driven through everything
Wisconsin could throw at it. I also don't know
what I could buy because I don't have the funds to
buy a newer car, really. Should I take my chances
on my Yukon, or look for something I can afford
and is better?
