Not sure if 4wd is disengaged

Asked by Jan 12, 2017 at 09:59 AM about the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was in 4 high and switched back to 2wd, the light
stayed in for a while but finally turned off. Now
when I turn it feels like I'm braking. Is it possible
the 4wd is still engaged? If so how do I get it out of
4wd?
