1996 1500 ram want start

Hi i need some help on this i took a 5.9 out of a 1996 1500 ram and put a 5.9 out of a 1999 i was told that was the year. I had everything hooked up oil and water in started up the truck it ran for 5-10 sec and shut it off it had a little ratle in it so i checked the oil it was good went to start it again now it will turn over and that is it anyone have a clue to what might of happened?

first a 96 wont work in a 99,not right,got to change computer,higher pressure FP,ECM,PCM.as for the rattle it could have been slow pumping oil,or you got a bum motor.
