Overheatinf

Asked by Bribri31716 Jan 18, 2018 at 07:33 PM about the 2000 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 chrysler town and country started
overheating today. Ive been noticing it hasnt been
running right . feeling like its lost power and takes
a lot for it to go almost as if im driving with the e
brake on except its not on. The best way i can
explain the noise its making is it use to be a ticking
noise now it just sounds almost like a loud fan.
Also my heat isnt working. Was working on and off
but now it has stopped altogether. Any idea to why
its overheating? I have yet to have someone look at
it.

It has 154k miles. It is due for an oil change. But everything else has been checked out and is fine except for the past month or so. And yes it is winter here.

is the check engine light on? does it seem like its shifting through the gears?
