Car has been sitting still for 2 years...

Asked by Margaret Jun 23, 2018 at 12:28 AM about the 2006 Chrysler Sebring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am being offered a free 2006 Chrysler Sebring that has been sitting without
any use for 2 years from my mom. She will replace the battery and is having it
checked out for any other issues.I am in between cars due to mine being hit in
a hit and run and being totaled.I cannot afford to fix anything big even with my
father in law able to fix most things except major issues. If there aren't any big
issues would it be worth taking until I can get something more reliable?

Get the fluids changed and have the brakes checked over. As long as the mileage on the car isn't extreme, you should be good to go. Seems like your mother is doing you a solid favor.
