The directions in my 2006 PT Cruiser are not working
is there a certain fuse and where what number

Likely a bad turn signal flasher. Look for it under the plastic cover in front of the steering wheel. The flasher also runs the hazard lights, so I'm guessing you don' have the emergency hazard flashers either.
