2003 Buick century

My 2003 Buick century starts right up but when I
push the gas it revs or drags when I try to speed up
then once it jerks then it picks up. Also as I'm
driving the the security light pops on and the gas
go to empty and the gas light pops on I was told
that could be a censor. But I need help please

I had exact same issue. come to find out it was my catalytic converter clog. got it cut off, no more problems

without the cat you may have problems with your inspection and the polar bears will hate you , , have someone rev the motor and see if the exhaust blasts out the tailpipe
